Job Summary
Perform a range of field maintenance duties at AMH properties including repairs, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of water heaters, plumbing, garage doors, irrigation, electrical systems, carpentry, drywall, roofing, fencing, and HVAC system tune-ups. Maintain a clean, safe work environment; update mobile work orders; coordinate with vendors and tenants; require proficiency with basic hand/power tools, OSHA safety practices, and Microsoft Office; ability to lift heavy loads and operate a vehicle; EPA/HVAC certifications in applicable states. Compensation includes hourly pay and quarterly bonuses, with benefits such as insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, PTO, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED preferred, Associate degree or technical training certification a plus
- Minimum two years of experience in Residential/Property Maintenance or related field, or five years in lieu of education
- Valid driver's license
- OSHA safety knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Apple iPad experience and HVAC preferred
- Universal EPA Certification or HVAC Type II Certification required in applicable states
- Ability to multitask, communicate effectively, work in a team, and adapt to changing environment
- Ability to lift 75 pounds to multiple heights and operate a vehicle; climb ladders
