Job Summary
Field Technician- Laborer responsibilities include reporting to the field supervisor and completing repairs and maintenance on ponds, lakes, and stormwater control measures (including turf establishment planting, excavation, grading, erosion repairs, tree removal, and site stabilization). Operate and maintain equipment safely (slope mowers, Ventrac, front-end loaders, mini-excavators, skid steers, and others). Perform manual labor such as moving materials by wheelbarrow (rip rap, mulch, dirt) and maintain/repair ponds, lakes, and stormwater devices (planting, seed spreading, mixing concrete, shoveling gravel). May work in confined spaces or crawl in pipes/precast structures. May be asked to collect company-owned tools/equipment at day’s end. Emphasizes outdoor environment and teamwork; requires ability to pass background check, valid driver's license, and effective communication with diverse audiences. Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience in fisheries, wildlife management, conservation, ecology, biology, environmental sciences, forestry, pond/lake maintenance, landscaping, erosion control, or stormwater maintenance
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working around water, slopes, and environmental risks (bees, poison ivy, etc.)
- Great communication skills and ability to interact with multiple audiences (Operations Team, subcontractors, vendors)
- Team-oriented and aligned with company values
