Job Summary
Field Technician in Power Generation/Diesel/Electrical responsible for inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and gaseous generators; troubleshooting AC/DC systems (110V–600V), transfer switches, switchgear, and engine controls; conducting load bank and battery testing; using diagnostic tools and software to identify electrical and mechanical faults; maintaining service documentation and safety procedures; traveling to customer sites to support emergency power needs as required in the Seattle metro area.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in power generation, diesel systems, or electrical troubleshooting
- Proficiency with AC/DC electrical systems, generator repairs, and transfer switches
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a field service role
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Valid driver's license and insurable under company policy
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work in varied conditions (indoor/outdoor)
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call based on business needs
