Job Summary
Inspect, service, and test construction equipment to ensure performance meets manufacturer specifications, including routine fluid checks, lubrication, and major/minor repairs on diesel, gas, electrical, hydraulic, and drive train systems. Perform novice-level MIG and SMAW welding repairs and troubleshoot Tier 4 aftertreatment systems. Maintain accurate warranty and maintenance records while supporting team goals. Requires four years of diesel mechanic experience with a construction or rental background, proficiency in electrical and hydraulic diagnostics, and basic computer skills for service work orders.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years' experience as diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment or rental background
- Proficient troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems
- Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains
- Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $10,000+ in value
- Basic computer knowledge for service work orders, parts ordering, and service related tasks
- Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals
- You are a self-starter and motivated to be successful
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Having mechanic experience working on industrial pumps, power equipment, and HVAC is a plus!
- Having a TWIC or Safety Council OSHA Basic Plus certification is preferred, will need to obtain if not held
