Job Summary
Field Technician II role focusing on borehole measurement and wiring hookups, enforcing safety and regulatory standards (MSHA, DOT, BATFE) while supporting Field Technician I duties. Responsibilities include measuring boreholes, implementing blaster designs for surface initiation, inspecting surface tie-ins, and maintaining truck operations knowledge (blend, pump, gassing) with emphasis on pre-trip inspections. Provides leadership and training for Field Technician I staff, steps in at other locations as needed, and performs other duties as required. Requires CDL with hazmat where applicable, basic computer and math skills, strong verbal/written communication, and the ability to complete two ride-alongs with the Site Supervisor. Additional qualifications encouraged include Blaster License and State Certifications; two years of field experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- CDL with hazard materials where applicable (SBU)
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrates good mathematical skills
- Demonstrates good communication skills both verbal and written
- Satisfactorily completes two ride alongs with Site Supervisor
