Field Technician II - Part-Time (Thurs - Sun)

Job Summary
Conduct regulated environmental sampling and specialized field operations, including independent execution of sampling programs and operation of composite sampling equipment. Travel to client sites to pick up and deliver samples following assigned routes, maintaining proper sample custody and integrity during transport. Deploy, retrieve, program, operate, and troubleshoot composite sampling equipment while performing field inspections at water treatment facilities, well sites, and distribution systems. Complete chain-of-custody records, perform in-house sample triage, and document all field activities and corrective actions. This part-time role requires a Thursday through Sunday schedule of approximately 7 hours daily (28 hours weekly) with morning shifts. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, operate a company vehicle in all weather conditions, and work outdoors with exposure to environmental elements and chemicals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle for extended periods throughout the workday in varying weather conditions and terrain
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions
- Regular exposure to environmental elements, chemicals, uneven terrain, and strong or unpleasant odors, including wastewater and industrial materials
- Part-time, field-based position
- Thursday - Sunday schedule, approximately 7 hours daily (28 hours weekly), with shifts beginning in the morning
- Flexibility to work outside of regularly scheduled hours as operational needs require
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational training in a related technical field
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in field services, regulated sampling, warehouse, or related technical or labor roles
- Familiarity with field sampling techniques and equipment operation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications
