Job Summary
Field Technician II responsible for measuring boreholes, wiring/hook up surface initiation per blaster’s instruction, inspecting surface tie-ins, and operating field equipment. Provides leadership and training to Field Technician I personnel, adheres to DOT/MSHA/State/BATFE regulations and customer-specific rules, performs pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance on blend, pump, and gassing trucks, and steps in at other company locations as needed. Requires safety and regulatory compliance, strong knowledge of truck operations, and ability to mentor junior technicians; two ride-alongs with a Site Supervisor are required, with additional qualifications encouraged (e.g., Blasters License, State Certificate). Two years of field experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- CDL with hazmat where applicable
- Basic computer skills
- Demonstrates good mathematical skills
- Demonstrates good communication skills both verbal and written
- Satisfactorily completes two ride alongs with Site Supervisor
