Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and overhaul new and used agricultural equipment at customer sites, including sprayers, planters, tractors, combines, and industrial engines. Perform thorough machine inspections using mobile apps, execute preventive maintenance per manufacturer guidelines, and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, engine, powertrain, and A/C systems. Utilize computer diagnostic tooling and read schematics to resolve complex issues while completing electronic data entry for service reports and warranty tickets. Communicate repair directions and make warranty recommendations while working individually or as part of a team to mentor others. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain current certifications for OSHA, forklift, and Smith driving.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years equipment repair experience or Field Service experience
- Class B or C Driver License
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have color vision
- Must have peripheral vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have the ability to adjust focus
- Must regularly work near moving mechanical parts
- Must be regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Must frequently work in outside weather conditions
- Must be occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
- Must be occasionally exposed to vibration
- Must be able to read, trace, and apply Electrical & Hydraulic schematics to complex machine systems
- Must be able to use computer diagnostic tooling and manufacture software systems when diagnosing and repairing equipment
- Must be able to communicate direction of repair and make warranty recommendations
- Must be able to work individually or as part of a team, including coaching and mentoring technicians as needed
- Must promote a positive safety culture while following company safely polices and regulations
- Must stay current on all safety training/certifications including OSHA, fork-lift, Smith Driving
