Job Summary
The Field Service Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing equipment including diesel engines, gas engines, electric power generators, and transfer switches. Key responsibilities include planning and performing minor repairs, ordering and returning parts, and adhering to safety standards. Technicians will work independently and as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and dedication to customer service, and complete required training to advance in classification.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to evaluate and repair diesel engines, gas engines, electric power generators, and transfer switches
- Ability to perform minor repairs using correct tools and procedures
- Ability to perform minor adjustments on basic components including engine, hydraulic, transmission, and electrical components
- Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance service according to factory guidelines
- Demonstrates proper use of service information systems
- Commitment to teamwork and customer service
- Ability to work independently as required
