Job Summary
Field Technicians diagnose and repair Caterpillar engines or machinery by utilizing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge. Responsibilities include performing inspections, troubleshooting, and completing repairs on various mechanical systems, while adhering to safety and documentation protocols. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and show varying levels of experience according to job placement from general mechanical understanding to advanced troubleshooting capabilities. Preferred qualifications include experience with multiple equipment types and a commercial driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- Basic understanding of mechanical tools and service procedures
- Ability to visually inspect and troubleshoot equipment
- Basic computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience performing maintenance and repair on multiple types of construction/mining equipment, power systems, and heavy industrial/diesel engines
- Direct experience with Caterpillar equipment
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
