Field Technician - DC Power Level 4

Job Summary
Lead custom DC power installations by designing solutions, performing hot ties, and supervising Level 1-3 installers on telecom, utility, and UPS projects. Conduct site assessments to define equipment and labor needs, then execute wiring, battery swaps, and circuit modifications while ensuring strict safety standards on energized equipment. Manage service vehicles, inventory, and tools; prepare Methods of Procedure, approve work orders, and submit daily status updates to the Regional Service Manager. Provide leadership by training less experienced technicians, resolving engineering drawing issues, and delivering high-quality service reports to customers.
Required Qualifications
- AAS Degree / Tech School or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of technician experience with DC Power and/or UPS equipment
- 5 years' experience in lead technician role
- Valid driver's license
- Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to organize his/her own work and work independently, with limited supervision
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across remote offices
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs
- Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments toward the greater good of the organization
- Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment
- At least 18 years old to drive 'Intrastate'
- At least 21 years old to driver 'Interstate'
- Valid DOT medical card or the ability to obtain DOT medical card per DOT/FMCA guidelines during the hiring process
- Ability to maintain active medical card status throughout employment
- Ability to follow the DOT's HOS regulations
- Ability to obtain a CDL in order to drive commercial motor vehicles or combination vehicles weighing more than 26,000 lbs
- Willingness to work occasional overtime
- Intermittent travel expected within designated territory, home most nights
- Concentric Technicians may need to travel out of state to perform work
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in material handling environment is preferred, but not required
