Job Summary
Field Technician - BAS Specialist needed to lead on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of building automation and HVAC control systems at mission-critical data-center sites. Responsibilities include leading onsite installation efforts, coordinating with PMs, systems/software engineers, vendors and subcontractors, interpreting AE drawings and relay logic, wiring controllers and field devices, conducting QA/QC and commissioning activities, developing MOPs/SOPs, ensuring customer acceptance, and providing daily site updates and safety reporting. Must have 5+ years BAS fieldwork experience, familiarity with Distech and Tridium Niagara platforms, proficiency with AE drawings and relay logic, strong leadership to oversee field personnel, solid IT skills (MS Office, related AI/workflow tools), and the ability to travel 50-75% and communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on BAS fieldwork—installation, testing, and troubleshooting required for mechanical and electrical systems
- Experience with Distech and Tridium Niagara platforms strongly preferred
- Technical proficiency with AE drawings, relay logic, and field device wiring
- Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to oversee field personnel and subcontractors
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AI and workflow-enhancing technologies
- Must be adaptable, resourceful, and able to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal
- Solid Organizational skills, with the ability to multitask
- Willingness to travel 50-75%
- U.S. work authorization required
- Previous experience in the Military / Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical / Mechanical is a huge plus
