Field Technician

Job Summary
Assist with the installation, assembly, disassembly, inspection, and repair of rotating equipment including pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, gearboxes, and blowers. Support field service activities by troubleshooting, reading technical documentation, and completing service reports and inspection records. Use hand tools and measuring equipment safely while maintaining clean work areas and following all HSE procedures. Identify and report damaged components or unsafe conditions. Communicate professionally with supervisors, technicians, and customers. Complete a background check and drug screening. Participate in on-the-job training and skill development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to safely use hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Ability to work in both shop and customer field environments
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to travel to customer locations as required
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical repair, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, automotive, construction, or a related field
- Technical school coursework or training in mechanical repair, industrial maintenance, machining, welding, or related trades
- Experience working with pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, gearboxes, or other rotating equipment
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools
- TWIC card or ability to obtain one, depending on location requirements
- OSHA or industrial safety training
