Job Summary
Work independently at customer locations from a field service truck to recondition and repair heavy equipment and components. Perform diagnostic inspections as directed and maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases. Care for equipment and vehicles while utilizing analytical skills to diagnose complex problems. Maintain and care for equipment and vehicles. Requires 2+ years of experience repairing heavy equipment, diesel automobiles, or trucks. John Deere experience is a plus. Class B CDL license and valid medical card preferred. Drive for success at Stribling Equipment, one of the largest John Deere dealerships in the region.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience related to repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, diesel automobiles, or heavy trucks
- Class B CDL License
- valid medical card
- must be able to obtain [Class B CDL License] for continued employment
- must pass all pre-employment screenings
- must pass background check
- must pass drug test
Desired Qualifications
- John Deere experience
- Basic understanding of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and other software on similar platforms that will be used to diagnose and document repairs
- Analytical skills to diagnose complex problems
- Tools as required of a typical diesel technician
