Job Summary
Repair and service machinery for complete customer satisfaction at various construction equipment and machinery sites. Maintain, safely operate, and care for assigned service truck and company-owned tools and equipment per company requirements. Order parts and materials through Ascendum Parts to complete work assignments. Ensure all company safety requirements are followed at all times, including DOT regulations, and complete all required paperwork and records. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety training, product training, and service department goals. Work without direct supervision in varying outdoor environments, handling physical demands such as lifting up to 75 pounds and driving a field service truck.
Required Qualifications
- Trade school completion in appropriate field
- Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a positive and enthusiastic manner
- Approachable and friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of safe job practices & regulations related to OSHA, MSHA and Ascendum Machinery requirements
- Aptitude for repairing, trouble shooting, and servicing equipment in changing environments
- Mechanical knowledge of tools and mechanical work for repairing equipment
- Above average knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, diesel engines
- Strong attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to complete work with energy and enthusiasm
- Customer orientation toward service and building relationships
- Compatible to working branch hours and extended days as needed
- Must possess own set of tools for repairing equipment
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to safely drive a field service truck
- Pass DOT physical
- Pass MVR requirements
