Job Summary
Field Technician responsible for the accurate and timely collection of data from wastewater field assets, including reading water meters and entering data in route logs. Performs meter inspections, repairs and/or replacements of broken service lines, communicates meter issues to the Project Manager, and operates a company vehicle to conduct meter readings on the assigned route. Also performs landscape maintenance tasks (mowing, trimming, clean-ups, pruning) and ensures paperwork and logs comply with Federal, State, and local rules. Requires ability to work weekends, overtime, and on-call as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Grade II ADEM wastewater certification is desirable
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Records are required
- 1-year experience in water distribution, maintenance or servicing industry preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to understand water systems and concepts
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be available to work weekends, overtime and ‘on-call’ as needed
