Job Summary
The Field Technical Specialist will support Technical Operations goals by providing implant and follow-up support for commercial and clinical studies, including training physician, nursing, and technical hospital staff; handling paperwork such as CRFs for implants and follow-ups; supporting data collection for clinical/scientific studies; and traveling to provide implant support across global territory. Certification as IBHRE CCDS is required within two years of hire. The role involves after-hours technical service coverage, collaboration with sales, and maintaining in-depth knowledge of Cardiac Rhythm Management devices. Must have a bachelor’s degree or be enrolled, pacemaker school certification, strong customer-facing experience with physicians and patients, OR/procedure knowledge, QMS familiarity, regulatory awareness, a valid driver’s license, and excellent English communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program with a completed pacemaker school certification required
- If FTS is currently working toward a bachelor’s, maintain full coursework and a 3.0+ GPA
- Experience with customer-facing relationships including physicians and patients
- Experience with operating room procedures, clinic, and surgical center protocols
- Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS)
- Understanding that device defects may occur from improper performance of job functions
- Country-specific regulatory requirements impact roles
- Understanding of individual role in achieving quality objectives and QMS compliance
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate in English (written and spoken) with personnel outside the U.S.
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple assignments effectively
