Job Summary
Field Technical Specialist provides implant and follow-up support for commercial and clinical study purposes, delivering technical and administrative support for clinical studies, and maintaining in-depth product knowledge of Cardiac Rhythm Management devices. The role includes training hospital staff, assisting sales in a specific territory, supporting after-hours technical services, handling paperwork for implants and data collection, and travel worldwide to provide implant support. Certification requirements include obtaining IBHRE CCDS certification within two years of hire. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a bachelor’s program, pacemaker school certification, and ability to communicate effectively with international teams. Strong OR/procedure experience, quality management system knowledge, and a valid driver’s license are also required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program with completed pacemaker school certification
- 3.0 GPA or greater if pursuing bachelor’s during employment
- Experience with customer-facing relationships including physicians and patients
- Experience with operating room procedures, clinic, and surgical center protocols
- Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory standards
- Understanding of device defects from improper performance of job functions
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and communicate with personnel outside the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license
