Job Summary
Field Technical Specialist responsible for implant and follow-up support for commercial and clinical study purposes. Responsibilities include covering cases (commercial and clinical), completing study-related paperwork for implants and follow-ups, providing technical and administrative support for clinical and scientific studies, leveraging administrative skills to ensure paperwork accuracy, receiving direction from Technical Operations leadership, supporting after-hours hotline and technical services, delivering in-service training to physician, nursing, and technical hospital staff, maintaining comprehensive product/technical knowledge of Cardiac Rhythm Management devices, pursuing IBHRE CCDS certification within two years of hire, assisting sales in specific territories, traveling to provide implant support globally within the assigned territory, providing device guidance during procedures, and performing other duties assigned by leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program with a completed pacemaker school certification required
- If FTS is currently working toward a bachelor's, maintain coursework during employment and maintain a 3.0+ GPA
- Experience with customer-facing relationships including physicians and patients
- Experience with operating room procedures, clinic, and surgical center protocols
- Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS)
- Understanding that device defects may occur from improper performance of job functions
- Regulatory requirements for each country in the territory
- Ability to communicate in English with personnel outside the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license
