Job Summary
The Field Technical Specialist (FTS) provides implant and follow-up support for commercial and clinical studies in Cardiac Rhythm Management, supports after-hours technical services, and delivers in-service training to hospital staff. The role requires maintaining product/technical knowledge across company and competitive devices, obtaining IBHRE CCDS certification within two years for non-certified hires, traveling to support implants and data collection globally within the assigned territory, and assisting sales as needed. Responsibilities include case coverage, study-related paperwork, data collection for clinical/scientific studies, coordinating with Technical Operations leadership, and providing device guidance during implant procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program with a completed pacemaker school certification
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA if enrolled and coursework during employment
- Experience with customer-facing relationships including physicians and patients
- Experience with operating room procedures, clinic, and surgical center protocols
- Knowledge of Quality Management System (QMS)
- Understanding of regulatory requirements impacting roles
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate in English with personnel outside the U.S.
