Job Summary
Field Technician will execute meter service and installation, pipeline locating, customer service, natural gas odor investigation, and construction/maintenance of main and service lines in office and field environments; requires a valid Texas driver’s license, on-call rotation, strong mechanical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years verifiable experience in natural gas or utility operations preferred
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Must successfully complete all required pre-employment testing
- Employees are subject to on-call rotation
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
- Requires excellent communication collaboration skills
- Strong mechanical skills are required
- Duties include meter service and installation, pipeline locating, customer service, natural gas odor investigation, connecting/disconnecting natural gas services, construction and maintenance, fusing pipe, maintaining records
