Job Summary
Field Tech I responsible for accurate and timely reading and recording of water meters to facilitate customer billing; identify meter equipment problems; and perform minor water meter and/or system maintenance. Will travel between service areas near Arcadia, FL with a Monday–Friday schedule; may require after-hours and weekend on-call support. Duties include maintaining records, documenting customer interactions, acting as liaison between customers and service personnel, responding to inquiries about meter reading and billing, providing on-site customer communication, assisting with maintenance of water/wastewater systems, and performing meter-related tasks such as installation/disconnection and minor repairs. Must be able to walk long distances daily and lift up to 75 lbs, with strong reading/comprehension of technical information and effective communication. Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED
- valid driver's license
- at least 2 years of mechanical work experience
