Job Summary
Field Tech/Construction Project Manager L-1 in the NYC HPD Emergency Repair Program. Responsibilities include inspecting, directing, and monitoring emergency repairs or compliance per plans; ensuring abatement methods and regulatory compliance; monitoring contract performance; preparing field reports, scopes of work, and cost estimates; reviewing contractor payments and change orders; ensuring permits are obtained; performing project scoping; and coordinating with teams across boroughs. Preferred candidates may have passed the Construction Project Manager exam 5058 and must be able to work evenings and weekends. Valid New York State driver’s license required for the duration of employment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or educational equivalent; five years of full-time experience in managing/inspecting construction projects of at least $300,000 each year OR one year of experience plus a baccalaureate degree in engineering/construction-related field OR equivalent combinations; valid NYS driver’s license; preferred Construction Project Manager exam 5058
