Job Summary
Conduct customer installations and maintenance of electronic and communications equipment in buildings, radio tower sites, and critical vehicles. Read drawings and schematics to determine component placement, troubleshoot wiring issues, and participate in commissioning and testing teams. Perform physical installation of data cabling, build out closets with racking equipment, and maintain customer records. Recommend appropriate hardware for proposals and provide safety training to installation teams. Some regional and/or overnight travel and on-call hours may be required. Valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs. and work at heights are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent military experience
- 3 years' electronic / mechanical / construction experience
- Project Lead with 3-5 years' experience the installation of Communications and Technical Electronics and IT infrastructure equipment
- Certified ETA Communications Site Installer (R56)
- Expert use of hand and power tools
- Advanced use of computer applications and with basic IT Infrastructure setup
- OSHA 10 hour certified
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work at heights
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to understand basic wiring diagrams and basic DC circuit theory preferred
- Experience installing cable, related support devices, and terminating coaxial cable preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Basic understanding of mathematical concepts
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability and desire to learn new skills
- Some Regional and/or Overnight Travel and On-Call Hours May Be Required
