Job Summary
Field Support Representative (Diagnostics) based in Des Moines, IA, with up to 75% travel. You’ll visit veterinary clinics to install and train staff on IDEXX analyzers (e.g., ProCyte, Catalyst One, SediVue, InVue), provide onsite technical troubleshooting, and support customer visits as an IDEXX ambassador. The role is remote from a home-based office but involves extensive travel and in-clinic instruction; you will plan and adapt visits to meet customer needs, build relationships, and ensure customers are effectively using IDEXX tools. Requires 3+ years veterinary practice experience, strong communication, organizational and collaborative skills, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel; residency in Des Moines IA area preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a veterinary practice or similar work experience
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Residency in the Des Moines, IA area and willingness to travel within this territory and occasionally outside of this territory as needed
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, management, and peers
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Planning and prioritization skills
- Effective listening skills
- Comfort learning and using technology (computers, tablets, smartphones)
