Field Support Engineer

Job Summary
Provide on-site and remote technical support for Stago instruments, diagnosing issues to minimize downtime and performing installations, maintenance, and repairs at customer facilities, sales demos, and trade shows. Conduct preventive maintenance, train end users on proper operation, and document all work orders and findings in compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines. Prioritize service requests, escalate recurring issues, and collaborate with internal teams to drive customer satisfaction. This role requires extensive travel within the territory, including up to 75% overnight trips, and occasional weekend or holiday on-call coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High School or (GED)
- 3 years related experience troubleshooting and repairing diagnostic equipment or operating related equipment
- Valid Driver's License
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, user-friendly manner
- knowledge of Database and Internet software
- Windows 10/7, NT, XP and DOS
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and occasionally beyond
- Up to 75% overnight travel
- Occasional weekend/holiday on-call coverage for the region
- Ability to travel by common air carrier, or rental car as needed
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree or Certificate from Technical School
- Bachelor's from 4 year college or university
