Job Summary
Manage telecom and OSP construction projects from mobilization through completion by supervising daily field crews and subcontractors. Oversee subcontractor performance, quality control, and compliance while verifying documentation, certifications, and work completion. Perform white lining and 811 locate visual inspections, review construction drawings, and monitor daily production to report on materials, quality, and schedule. Maintain accurate red-line drawings, as-builts, and project records, preparing daily production reports, bore logs, JSAs, and incident reports. Update progress in Fieldwire and enforce OSHA, DOT, traffic control, and PPE compliance on all sites. Train, mentor, and lead field employees. Requires outdoor physical work on active construction sites with nights, weekends, and on-call rotations; travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
Desired Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in telecom, construction, or related field
- Prior field operations experience (underground or aerial construction)
- Demonstrated ability to learn construction processes, safety standards, and field operations
- Basic proficiency using smartphones, tablets, and field tracking systems (Fieldwire)
- OSHA certification
- Telecom or construction certifications
