Job Summary
Conduct site assessments and facility surveys across District properties to identify building component data and assess overall condition and remaining service life. Utilize tablets, laptops, and smartphones to document measurements, gather supporting field information, and input data accurately into digital tools. Collaborate with trade surveyors, field staff, campus administrators, and project teams to coordinate activities, supervise participants as needed, and serve as a technical resource for guidance. Maintain organized records of field findings to ensure data consistency while supporting ongoing facility planning and maintenance initiatives for Los Angeles Unified School District projects.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of full-time professional experience working with on-site construction management teams
- Minimum 6+ years of full-time professional experience working with campus administrators, faculty, and staff
- Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and facility assessments
- Experience evaluating building conditions and identifying concealed systems/components
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (for candidates without a degree)
- Proficiency with tablets
