Job Summary
Field Supervisor- Hand Grader identifies and collects building component data on systems installed at District sites, using tablets, laptops, and smartphones to enter data. Leverages construction knowledge to identify systems hidden behind walls, ceilings, and floors; assesses overall condition and remaining service life (RSL) of building components per FCA Unit guidance for LAUSD. Collaborates with other trade surveyors to gather quantities and boilerplate information; conducts/ad hoc surveys of District sites and buildings as needed. May supervise staff and survey participants as required; serves as a resource to the team. Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management (or 10 years of experience in lieu of the degree) and 6+ years of full-time, paid professional experience with on-site construction management and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
- Candidates without a bachelor’s degree must have at least 10 years of experience
- 6 or more years of full-time paid professional experience working with on-site construction management teams as well as with campus administrators, faculty and staff
