Field Supervisor (Grading & Site Work)

Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate all on-site grading and site work activities, leading crews and subcontractors to ensure work meets project plans, specifications, and schedules. Conduct regular inspections for quality standards, oversee equipment operation and maintenance, and enforce safety protocols including proper PPE, hard hats, and safety glasses. Maintain clear communication with project management and clients while preparing daily reports on progress, crew hours, and equipment usage. Resolve on-site issues promptly and manage tasks in a fast-paced, outdoor environment involving lifting up to 50 pounds and working in varying weather conditions.

- Proven experience in grading and site work
- Strong knowledge of related processes and equipment
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, and moving on uneven terrain
- Ability to climb in and out of equipment, as needed
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, including varying weather and temperatures
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and hand tools when necessary
- Capacity to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, and gloves, for extended periods
- Ability to work in loud, dusty, and potentially hazardous environments
- Subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Pass background and MVR check
