Field Superintendent - Piping Undergrounds

Job Summary
Lead mechanical construction activities on piping for a large gas-fired power project in Pecos, TX, ensuring work is performed safely, to design, and on schedule. Direct craft labor and subcontractors, plan workforce requirements, monitor tools and materials, and coordinate with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals. Ensure alignment with current design documents, manage testing processes and equipment, and uphold safety and quality standards. Requires a bachelor's degree and 5-8 (or 9-12) years of relevant experience, plus specialized knowledge in welding, NDE, heavy lift, and union craft management; experience delivering a combined cycle power plant is preferred. Knowledge of industry codes (e.g., B31.1), and the use of automation software and project procedures is needed for successful execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
- 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
- Previous experience delivering a combined cycle power plant as Field Superintendent
- Competent in supervising heavy lift activities
- A thorough knowledge of welding, including the latest technologies and NDE methods
- A strong background in union craft management and understanding of the project labor agreement
- Knowledge of Section 1 and B31.1 codes
- Ability to supervise field operations and coordinate with Design on constructability issues
