Job Summary
Field Superintendent will coordinate activities related to the installation and new construction of loading docks and commercial door equipment. Responsibilities include collaborating with Sales and Service Teams; planning and directing installation projects; loading/unloading trucks; attending project and job-site meetings; conducting site walks and surveys; measuring job sites for installations; managing General Contractors and vendors; completing punch lists; handling parts deliveries; managing work orders; ensuring safety and quality control per OSHA guidelines; completing required training; and performing other duties as assigned. Key requirements include 3+ years in the dock/door field, site experience on construction environments, ability to read blueprints, OSHA knowledge (OSHA 30 preferred), DOT medical clearance, valid driver’s license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Desired certifications (AAADM, Rytec, Entrematic) and technical/OEM training are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in the Dock & Door Industry, 3 years minimum
- Working knowledge of construction sites within our industry
- Experience with construction site conditions and activities
- Knowledge of OSHA rules; OSHA 30 Certification, highly preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, schematics
- Must have a valid state issued Driver’s License with DMV record acceptable to insurer
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- Ability to operate forklift, scissor lift, and other material handling equipment
- Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Technical school training and OEM certification a plus
