Job Summary

Perform rig up and rig down of field equipment and systems, conducting on-site troubleshooting of mechanical and basic technical issues to restore functionality and minimize downtime. Carry out routine inspections, tests, and adjustments before, during, and after operations, while assisting with installation, alignment, and configuration to meet job specifications. Document field activities, issues, and resolutions clearly for reporting and collaborate with supervisors and operators to coordinate safe, efficient operations. Maintain tools and vehicles in good working order while adhering to all safety procedures and site rules. Work a contract rotation of three weeks on, one week off, with hours between 12 and 16 per day, including weekends or extended shifts as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in technical field operations, preferably in oilfield, energy, or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and work with mechanical systems and components
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues under time pressure
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically able to handle field tasks, including lifting and manual work
  • Ability to interpret basic technical drawings, procedures, and work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
  • Effective communication skills for working within a field team and reporting issues clearly
  • Willingness to work a contract assignment with variable hours, including weekends or extended shifts as required by operations
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical, industrial, or related disciplines preferred
  • Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, H2S, First Aid/CPR) preferred
  • Experience with rig up/rig down operations in oil and gas or related industries
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems used in field equipment
  • Previous experience operating or assisting with heavy equipment or lifting systems
  • Basic computer skills for completing digital reports and using field service applications
