Job Summary
Field Specialist II at Weatherford at well sites, acting as the primary technical interface and leading service delivery and field operations. Role covers troubleshooting complex technical issues, equipment installations, safety/compliance, mentorship of junior crew, and driving client satisfaction with 24/7 availability. Responsibilities include coordinating Weatherford personnel, managing job plans and documentation, testing and maintaining tools, managing inventory, performing QA/QC, and ensuring adherence to health, safety, security, and environmental standards. Travel is 50-75% domestically and potentially internationally. Requires High School Diploma, technical certificate, 1–2.5 years oil & gas experience, and strong mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic knowledge; capable with data entry, communication, and analytical thinking.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Technical Certificate from an accredited Technical/Vocational School
- 1 – 2.5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Fundamentals of Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics, Pneumatics, and/or Hydraulics; basic Physics and Chemistry; computer fundamentals
- Analytical Skills: Critical thinking, complex problem solving, active learning and listening; mathematical reasoning; Quality Control Analysis
- Professional Skills: Strong reading and writing abilities; excellent judgment and decision-making aligned with policies and procedures; effective time management; service orientation
- Operational Abilities: Information and task ordering; ability to identify potential problems and understand solutions; effective reaction in operating tools and machinery; spatial visualization for assembly, repair, and modifications
- 50-75% domestic and potentially international travel
