Field Services Lead Technologist

Job Summary
Provide high-level technical support to identify, prevent, and resolve service interruptions related to plant systems and operations. Install and troubleshoot computers, printers, routers, switches, wireless devices, and other network hardware. Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot core business applications, including application servers, endpoints, and databases. Consult with users to determine software, hardware, and network utilization requirements, then liaise with corporate resources to enhance technical offerings. Recommend and implement policies, best practices, and configurations to maximize resource utilization and ensure system performance. Deliver on-call, after-hours, and vacation coverage for field tech support while managing set-up and configuration of systems. Identify and resolve potential issues that could adversely impact end-user experience. Perform related duties as assigned, including business travel and overnight stays.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational training or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of related experience
- Candidate must be located within the St Louis, MO area
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficient with a broad array of networking and systems hardware and software
- Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and general IT best practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical staff
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Business travel is required, including some overnight
