Field Services Engineer II

Job Summary
Diagnose and resolve electro-mechanical, automation, and system issues onsite to restore functionality quickly, while executing scheduled preventive maintenance to optimize performance and minimize downtime. Partner with nursing, pharmacy, and healthcare leaders to deliver exceptional service, accurately document all service activities in accordance with company policies, and meet or exceed service-level agreements. Independently perform advanced troubleshooting and system repairs, escalate product issues through technical support channels, and manage trunk stock and parts inventory. Maintain a home-based workspace, travel frequently within the assigned territory, and adhere to an on-call rotation including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Coursework or training in Network Engineering, Electronics, Robotics, or related field
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues
- Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurance requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (to approximately 5 ft. high)
- Availability for on-call rotation, including nights and weekends
- Frequent local travel within the assigned territory; occasional support in adjacent areas
- Maintain a home-based workspace and inventory storage (trunk stock)
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Must meet Omnicell insurance coverage requirements
- Reliable personal vehicle in good working condition
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience troubleshooting electronic, mechanical, or computer-based systems
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, medical device standards, and Quality Management Systems
- Proven ability to work independently on complex technical issues
