Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures for commercial and industrial solar projects, including modules, inverters, and control systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty circuits and equipment failures using testing devices like ammeters, voltmeters, and thermal scanners. Read blueprints and schematics to ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code, state regulations, and OSHA safety standards. Lead or assist apprentices while inspecting components to verify safety and code adherence. Travel up to 100% across California to serve as the principal onsite representative for construction operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license (CA state-specific)
- Completion of a certified electrical apprenticeship program
- Forklift certified, or willing to become certified
- Willingness to travel up to 100%
- Effective communication, organizational, and people skills, and problem-solving techniques
- Working knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) requirements
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Reliable transportation
