Job Summary
Field Service Engineer role focusing on startups, maintenance, and emergency repairs for Vertiv UPS systems (UPS, battery, power distribution, site monitoring). Responsibilities include coordinating and running assigned projects/PMs, maintaining customer lists, ensuring planned maintenance completion, and fostering strong rapport with customers, salesmen, distributors, and service-direction teams. Requires after-hours and weekend shifts, daily travel to customer sites, and strong technical service experience with electrical/electronic equipment. Must be self-motivated with excellent communication and customer-service skills, and possess a clean driving license. Hardware familiarity with UPS systems and power electronics is preferred; ability to plan, organize, and manage time effectively under pressure is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Previous field service experience essential
- Clean, Valid driving license
- There will be after hours (post 17:00) and weekend shift requirements
- Daily travel to and from customer sites
- Computer literate (Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Self-starter, ability to plan, organize and manage time effectively with an ability to work under pressure
- Experience of working in a technical service or test environment of Electrical/Electronic equipment essential; UPS preferred or associated industries such as Power Electronics
