Field Service Technician

Job Summary
Install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate high-tech machines at customer locations while performing necessary administrative paperwork. Demonstrate customer service skills and knowledge by interacting with customers and cross-functional service groups, and aid the R&D team with engineering work for design, build, and new system testing. Support production of systems during various stages of assembly and setup, utilizing mechanical and electronic aptitude for high-tech CMMs. Work independently in a high-pressure environment with 90-100% travel within the service area, including international trips as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate, completed GED or equivalent
- Tech School, associate, or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as, Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, and the like
- Training and experience from a Military Technical School
- Prior experience working with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment
- Microsoft operating system knowledge
- Capable of unassisted physical lift of one article weighing up to 75 pounds
- Able and willing to work minimum of 50 hours per work week
- Regular + OT
- Ability to work in an industrial production shop floor environment
- Valid Driver License
- Excellent communication and customer service aptitude
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems
- Previous CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) installation and troubleshooting experience
