Job Summary
X-ray Field Service Technician responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair of Nikon Metrology X-ray products both in the field and at customer sites. Role includes on-site and remote support, product training, and sales-support activities such as setup/teardown for trade shows and promoting service offerings. Requires ability to read schematics, operate test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron), lift up to 50 pounds, and travel 80%+ (domestic and limited international). Strong customer-facing communication and MS Office skills are required; experience with radiation dosimetry data is part of the role. Location is Remote - Minnesota, US.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with field service, installation, maintenance, repair and upgrades of X-ray product lines
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- 80%+ travel, domestic and limited international
- Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings
- Ability to integrate and troubleshoot computer hardware and software
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as Multimeter, Oscilloscope, soldering iron, basic hand tools
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Self-motivation and professionalism in field settings
- Ability to provide technical product services and training as needed
- Ability to submit service reports and documentation in a timely manner
- Radiation dosimetry data handling per policy
