Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician installs, inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical transformers and related equipment at customer sites. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues in the field, performing transformer diagnostics (insulation resistance testing, ratio testing, and other electrical tests), interpreting electrical schematics and drawings, and documenting service activities through detailed reports. Provides technical guidance to customers on operation and maintenance, coordinates with engineering and manufacturing to resolve issues, and ensures safety and company policies are followed. Requires up to 50-75% travel to customer sites (domestic and occasional international travel). Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as is proficiency with electrical test equipment and the ability to work with medium/high voltage equipment. An associate degree or technical certification is preferred, with equivalent experience considered; 3+ years of relevant experience is also preferred.
