Job Summary
Field Service Technician responsible for installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical transformers and related equipment at customer sites. Duties include conducting routine inspections, performing transformer diagnostics (insulation resistance testing, ratio testing, and other electrical tests), interpreting electrical schematics and drawings, documenting service activities and findings, providing technical guidance to customers, coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve issues, and ensuring safety and company-standard compliance. Must travel up to 50-75% to customer sites (domestic and occasional international travel may be required) and maintain service tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in electrical equipment service, industrial maintenance, or transformer service
- Experience working with medium or high voltage equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Proficiency with electrical test equipment and diagnostic tools
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
