Job Summary
The Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining a thorough knowledge of the mechanical and electronic functionality of all generations of the ImageTrac scanner, providing effective technical support, arriving at customer sites on time, managing company assets, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires knowledge of proprietary software, timely incident handling, proper testing of work, and analyzing customer processes for potential sales opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of all ImageTrac mechanical and electronic functions
- Effective technical support assistance to customers
- Timely arrival at customer sites within contracted response times
- Management and control of all company assets
- Highest level of customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of SoftTrac, Docnetics and IBML proprietary software
- Follow the call flow for incident activity
- Timely return of RMA parts
- Proper testing of work to meet quality expectations
- Meet all scheduled deadlines
- Available for dispatches during and after normal business hours
- Analyze customer operational processes for software sales opportunities
- Working knowledge of PCs associated with IBML equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Associates level degree in electronics and/or mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience
Additional Requirements
- Required to submit to criminal/background checks for governmental customer services
