Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on fuel cell systems installed in electric lift trucks at customer sites. Execute specialized service procedures including field retrofits, software and hardware upgrades, and emergency support as required. Manage parts ordering, inventory maintenance, and documentation of incident reports and service logs. Maintain ongoing communication with customer personnel and hydrogen suppliers regarding aftermarket support and system performance. Adhere to strict safety procedures while operating high-pressure hydrogen storage and cryogenic liquid systems. Travel as required to drive safely and represent Plug Power professionally in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework
- Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Formal training and education
- Valid driver license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on regular basis unassisted
- Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications
- General mechanical aptitude
- Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Creativity in solving technical problems
- Ability to work independently
