Field Service Technician

Job Summary

Install, service, and repair surface wellhead systems, Vault Pressure Control equipment, and customer property while troubleshooting technical problems and eliminating future operational difficulties. Coordinate activities with installing equipment, handle customer complaints professionally, and maintain effective communication regarding job procedures and spare parts. Work independently to ensure no rig lost time, record critical dimensions, and submit Field Service Orders and shift reports after each job. Perform duties in a safe manner complying with EHS processes, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces. Operate on a rotating 12- to 14-hour shift schedule, day and night, with potential for extensive travel and overtime.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years field service tech experience
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current valid driver's license
  • Good working knowledge of mechanical processes
  • At least one year mechanical, electronic and hydraulic related experience
  • Demonstrated good customer service skills
  • Communication skills
  • Positive interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated good organizational skills
  • Ability to climb up and climb down a ladder from work locations
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work 12 TO 14-hour shifts, day and night on a rotating schedule and weekends as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical, vocational, or military training or related experience
  • Surface Wellhead installation and repair experience
