Job Summary
Diagnose electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment by reading work orders, listening to operational malfunctions, and performing mechanical repairs after inspection. Lubricate moving parts, adjust safety devices, and verify conformance by driving repaired trucks. Represent the Equipment Depot professionally, communicate repair needs and estimates to customers, and obtain signatures on completed work. Track service van maintenance schedules, return daily paperwork including work orders and invoices, and submit time cards by 9:00 a.m. daily. Work across offices, job sites, and industrial locations while maintaining a clean service van and protecting customer and public safety.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- One to Three months related experience and/or training
- valid driver's license
- clean driving record
- knowledge of internet software
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
