Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance on industrial natural gas generators at customer sites, including monthly oil changes, valve adjustments, and load bank testing. Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, and cooling systems, troubleshooting 480V outputs and generator control panels. Maintain fit-for-duty status by driving to well sites, mobilizing equipment, and executing startup functions like cabling and synchronization. Respond to call outs and alarms on a 24/7 basis, including nights and weekends, while communicating professionally with production foremen. Uphold a safety-first culture by auditing practices and verifying work meets company and customer standards. Maintain sufficient parts inventory to support planned and unplanned repair needs.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass a background and drug screen
- Ability to comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times
- Experienced background or trade school
- Electrical/generator troubleshooting & repair
- Engine overhaul
- Systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Must have own hand tools
- Availability to work nights and weekends as needed
