Job Summary
Respond to all service requests for customer sites in your assigned territory, ensuring timely troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and thorough testing of POS hardware, laser printers, meat scales, and network equipment. Maintain accurate spare parts inventory and documentation while providing preventative maintenance and performing basic software/hardware configuration and upgrades. Keep customers fully updated and interact with store personnel clearly. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and test equipment; travel within a 150-mile radius with limited overnight travel as needed. Work regular hours with after-hours availability when required. Adhere to specific deadlines and timelines while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Basic Break/Fix Computer skills
- Basic PC operations/software knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication, including communicating in a way that a non-technical end user and/or Team members and Managers can understand
- Proficient with use of common hand tools and basic test equipment
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Capable of multi-tasking, with ability to think, learn, and solve problems quickly
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Confidentiality and integrity
- Detail oriented
- Organizational skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in technology service
- Prior retail experience
- Willing to travel when needed, typically within a 150-mile radius, limited overnight travel
- Maintain ability to work regular hours, as well as after-hours availability when needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Information Technology or related Technology Field
- Practical experience with electronics/technology hardware
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- CompTIA Network+ Certification
- Industry-Specific Certifications
