Job Summary
Respond to all service requests for customer sites in your assigned territory, ensuring timely troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and thorough testing of POS hardware, laser printers, meat scales, and network equipment. Maintain current spare parts inventory and provide preventative maintenance to customers while performing basic software configuration, installs, and upgrades. Keep comprehensive documentation of all service calls, parts usage, and records, and interact with store personnel clearly. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and test equipment, and adhere to specific deadlines and timelines. Travel within a 150-mile radius as needed, with after-hours availability. Partner with grocery retailers to help them navigate an ever-changing industry through reliable technology solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Basic Break/Fix Computer skills
- Basic PC operations/software knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication, including communicating in a way that a non-technical end user and/or Team members and Managers can understand
- Proficient with use of common hand tools and basic test equipment
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Capable of multi-tasking, with ability to think, learn, and solve problems quickly
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Confidentiality and integrity
- Detail oriented
- Organizational skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in technology service
- Prior retail experience
- Practical experience with electronics/technology hardware
- Understanding of Networks and Wireless devices
- Willing to travel when needed, typically within a 150-mile radius, limited overnight travel
- Maintain ability to work regular hours, as well as after-hours availability when needed
