Job Summary
Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair gas detection systems and sensors at customer locations across the United States. Translate system operation scope to plant personnel and prepare reports for PSM documentation while maintaining equipment through manufacturer contacts. Work three weeknights in hotels with the remainder of the week at home, utilizing a personal vehicle for travel. Must be 21 years of age with proven electrical/electronic skills, capable of climbing ladders while carrying 40-50lbs of tools in cold, dirty, or confined spaces. Guaranteed 40 hours per week with mileage paid.
Required Qualifications
- Have and constantly develop excellent Industrial electrical/electronic skills and mechanical aptitude
- Resume will show proven ability to trouble-shoot and ensure a quality service
- Flexibility in schedule to travel continuously throughout the work week to locations throughout the United States
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have personal vehicle, reliable for travel
- Must be able to fly and rent a car within the continental US
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week during standard work weeks
- Understand electronic circuit and troubleshooting fundamentals
- Basic understanding of PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems
- Experience using a digital multimeter as well as trouble shooting 120VAC and 24VDC circuits to include wiring and relay logic
- Ability to exercise component and personal safety to maintain, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical components
- Strong understanding of AC and DC circuitry
- Strong understanding of relay integration methods and functionality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in industrial environments
- Ability to problem solve/gather information needed to complete jobs
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Acrobat PDF
- The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work in a wide range of conditions: Cold, Dirty, Heights, Warm, Confined spaces, Rooftops, Ships
- Must be able to climb a ladder while carrying 40-50lbs of tools
